HYMAX Marine is a professional marine operations company based on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. Formerly operating as Blue Pacific Marine, we bring more than two decades of experience in commercial diving, ROV inspections, debris recovery, and marine logistics.

Capt. J. Stephen Lord

Lord has served as both chief engineer and captain on vessels up to 10,000 tons, including tankers, Greenpeace, Canadian coast guard , military ships, power yachts, and both traditional and modern sailing vessels, amassing over 100,000 nautical miles.

Salvage Operations Specialist and a seasoned marine professional holding unlimited‑tonnage, foreign‑going certifications, bringing global‑standard seamanship and command‑level judgment to HYMAX Marine’s coastal operations. With extensive experience across commercial, environmental, and high‑risk marine sectors, he is recognized as a salvage expert with deep capability in vessel recovery, hazardous operations, and complex coastal logistics.

Jori has led and supported operations on workboats, tugs, landing craft, and offshore‑class vessels, consistently delivering safe, precise, and efficient results in demanding conditions. His background includes salvage and emergency vessel response, gear removal, remote‑site mobilization, and multi‑agency coastal projects requiring disciplined risk management and technical execution.
